Different Wikis

How could Trunk be improved?

Different Wikis

Hi

I'd like to see an option to switch between more than 1 Wiki, say Work and Personal. This becomes more important as people look to find ways to share their Wikis more widely.

Good idea. I second that.
Aside from my own "personal wiki" i like to setup another wiki and get my friend to buy TrunkNotes so that we could work on mutual ideas.

Yes, full support for multiple Wikis request from my side as well (typical use case: Private and Business)!
The greatest problem for me with this otherwise fantastic product currently is that, trying to maintain 'virtual' multiple Wikis by different WikiWords on a start page for follow-up pages, you cannot re-use WikiWords (like '2012') with individual target pages since of course this is still the same database, so the target of the WikiWord does not care about where the call comes from (which is of course the idea of the Wiki system). I have to use some prefix (like 'priv_2012') to differentiate the words, which in turn is not helpful when re-using the data on the PC where I would expect the keyword without the prefix in the individual target Wiki.
And keeping the 'virtual' Wikis apart by using tags is also not the greatest solution (this does not help with the duplicate WikiWord problem).

This would be awesome, in conjunction with separate synchronization policies for various wikis. E.g. a work-related wiki should be local only to avoid IT security policy violations.

I'll add my voice to the chorus that is asking for support for multiple wikis.

I'd like to create separate wikis for my major projects and in the Pages list see only the pages associated with the current wiki rather than all pages created.

I've previously used Note Studio on my Palm Pilot devices and find Trunk Notes to be an almost good enough replacement on my iPhone. Although Trunk Notes is a better replacement for Note Studio than other apps I've tried, support for multiple wikis would bring it up from "almost good enough".

I vote for this improvement too. This is the best Way to handle a large number of notes.
Is there a chance to be realized soon?
Best regards

I just want to add my vote for this feature. TiddlyNotes (really don't like that app) has a similar feature called "Projects".

I would be really nice to have this feature so we can keep different Wiki/Notebooks separate. Thank you.

Me too. I would love to keep my log in one wiki and my song wiki in another, since they have little in common.

A brute force solution may be to allow multiple instances of Trunk notes on your iPad, each with a different wiki.

A more elegant one would be a start-up screen allowing you to select which wiki to use, based on the top folder of each.

Best would be the ability to switch wikis from within the app.
