Mind mapping

How could Trunk be improved?

Mind mapping

Enjoying tn more and more!

I want Trunknotes to…
Integrate seamlessly with an ios mind map application,

So I can…
Zoom out on my notes, arrange them into groups, create links, and see the bigger picture.

iThoughts works with the markdown format, but so far, linking with tn would be a fulltime job.

Cheers,
Christophe

Has anyone set up a workflow that integrates the flexibility of trunknotes, with another piece of software providing an overview (second software could also be on mac or pc)?
Your taking the time to share, greatly appreciated!

My search has been fruitful: I have installed a freeware called vue (http://vue.tufts.edu/) on my desktop (mac or pc) and imported my dropbox/trunksync/notes folder.
Now I have a map populated with the page names (nodes) of trunknotes, which I can move around, group, connect, filter, etc..
When I clic on a page name item (mar), it opens the corresponding file which I can edit: the changes will reflect within trunknotes after the next dropbox sync.
With the possibility of having an overview of all my trunknotes, I will work on improving and rationalizing my system.
Voilà.

Chris

Ps: to get rid of the many .markdown file extensions wasting real estate on the map, I searched the view file with a text editor for the string .markdown" layerID= and replaced it with " layerID=
If there are only a few nodes on the map, deleting the extension manually is more convenient.
This doesn't affect the link to the corresponding file.
In order not to mess with trunknotes internals, I prefer to create new notes from my ios device and drag&drop the note into Vue via the "Ressources" window.

Thanks for this suggestion, I am testing out this application to explore possible benefits with TrunkNotes.
