TextExpander seems broken post iOS 5 Upgrade

Postby thomasjreid » Fri Oct 14, 2011 11:32 am

Since upgrading both iTouch 4G and iPad 1 to iOS 5 today, I can't get TextExpander snippets to expand in Trunk Notes. Snippet sharing is turned on in TE touch.

Are others having this experience?

Best wishes

Seems to be working okay for me. Although I notice it appears to be case sensitive (I have Ignore Case on in TextExpander touch). I'm not sure if the case sensitivity in Trunk Notes is a new problem or not, though.

The plot thickens. Had to do a hard reset on my iPad and TE now works fine there. So I tried the same with iTouch and no improvement.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. There haven't been any updates to the TextExpander library since August 2010. Maybe they will be releasing one shortly with iOS 5 compatibility fixes in.

Hi again. Problem has disappeared as mysteriously as it appeared. I noticed that snippets weren't expanding in Writing Kit (just released for iPhone/iTouch: great app to use with Trunk Notes, especially on iPad: may post on this later). After poking around they started working there, and when I checked Trunk Notes, they were working there too. Hope I didn't imagine the whole thing :?

Some bugs are like that. One moment they are there, and then they've gone. Let me know if it comes back!
