using an image as a wiki link

Postby catxnc » Fri Feb 17, 2012 4:33 pm

hi - pardon this newbie question but can I use an image (.png file) as a link to another page? That is, can I insert an image on a page then code that image to link to another page?

Thanks for help!

As to the question you asked, I have no idea and am not sure how to go about trying that. You can however use emoji characters as links, which can be useful, but gives a very small tap target.

Try something like this:
Create a new page for the image; insert the image and note the filename it's given.
Then use that filename as follows:

[[HomePage| <img src="files/02_17_2012_2.png" /> ]]

I was looking for a way to do this same thing. This works, but there's a weird effect. The bottom of the image has a yellow border, as if the image is hiding a line of wikilink text. Might be possible to fix by altering the CSS, but I haven't had time to try it.
